Today I am going to share thoughts around a Dumb Leader that we call the power up and talk down leader. Maybe you have experienced a leader like this, a leader who makes them feel big by making you feel small.
I’ve experienced the feeling of having someone power up, whether it’s by using intimidation language, whether it’s by talking over the top of me, whether it’s in body language, whether it’s in silent treatment, whether it’s in their actions, whether it’s in their behaviours.
They power up, some would say they abuse their power. To them power if the holy grail, maybe you’ve worked with someone like that? Maybe you’ve been lucky and missed that one.
